Program Description
===================

     The LZW Arc [LZWARC.EXE] is a file compressor/decompressor for DOS. It
uses a 12-bit LZW compression/decompression engine. The package also contains
an encryption/decryption program called LZWEnc [LZWENC.EXE]. You normally use
LZWEnc to protect your personal archives.

     Note that running LZWEnc on a normal LZW archive file will encrypt it and
running LZWEnc on an encoded LZW archive file will decrypt it.

Syntax
======

  LZWArc

    LZWARC or LZWARC [/H] - Shows a Help Screen
    LZWARC <sourcefile> <destfile> - Compresses <sourcefile> to <destfile>
    LZWARC <sourcefile> <destfile> [/E] - Uncompresses <sourcefile> to <destfile>

  LZWEnc

    LZWEnc or LZWEnc [/H] - Shows a Help Screen
    LZWEnc <sourcefile> <destfile> - Encrypts <sourcefile> to <destfile>
    LZWEnc <sourcefile> <destfile> - Decrypts <sourcefile> to <destfile>

Additional Information
======================

     This package is distributed as freeware. This means you may freely
distribute this utility as long as you do not modify any compiled/written
material.

Applicability of this Program
=============================

       The LZWArc program may be used to compress/decompress small amout of
files. Because it is a command-line application, you will find it difficult to
compress big amount of files. We'd recommend you to compress only files that
do not exceed 2Mb.

       The LZWEnc program may be used to encrypt/decrypt only LZW archives.
Like LZWArc, the LZWEnc program is a command-line utility so it has the same
disadvantages.
